PRSG's national newsletter, the PRE (or Personal Radio Exchange), had long been our primary printed communications link with GMRS licensees and our other subscribers. In the past, it had been the vehicle through which we had announced or distributed nearly all of our other publications and services.
The PRE reported on the latest news and events pertaining to GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service), to the FRS (Family Radio Service), to the new MURS (Multi Use Radio Service, a newly implemented VHF-FM CB service), and to other functioning or proposed personal radio services.
Our last printed newsletter edition was dated August/September 1998. We also had two subsequent electronic-only versions (sent by E-mail, for those subscribers for whom we had E-mail addresses) dated April and May, 2001.

We now plan to resume our national newsletter service later this year, but only in an electronic format. Persons who were previously subscribers to the printed version, and whose subscriptions had not yet expired with the August/September 1998 edition, will be credited for the missed issues. (Check your most recent mailing label for your printed-subscription expiration date.)
This change to an all-electronic format will allow us to make announcements and deliver other information much more rapidly. We plan to make one more mailing of printed material to our subscribers for whom we do not have current E-mail addresses. (We expect to do that in late Summer 2003.)
